Educational Bursaries
The Board of Directors places a high priority on post-secondary education for youth in care. To support this initiative, the board maintains a special post-secondary bursary fund.
Bursay recipients are nominated by their social worker for their achievements and receive a bursary in the amount of $1,000 for first year students and $500 for second or subsequent years, in addition to a plaque recognizing this achievement. The recipient's names are also engraved on a plaque which is displayed in the Agency's boardroom.
The bursary fund is critical for the future success of our youth. We implore the community to assist us in ensuring that youth in our care can pursue their educational dreams without the added burden of financial worries.
