The
Children's Aid Society of Owen Sound and the County of Grey provides a range
of services to all individuals involved in the adoption process. Adoption
establishes a permanent legal parent-child relationship and a family for a
child. Grey CAS places approximately 12-15 children per year through our adoption
program.
Adoption
Services include:
- support
and counselling for pregnant mothers
- assistance
and support for parents who are preparing to adopt
- home
studies and preparation groups for those applying to adopt
- financial
assistance if necessary to help a family who is adopting a child with
special needs
- assistance
and counselling for adopted adults
- seeking
information on their background or with adoption
We have a special need for adoptive applicants interested in parenting sibling
groups and children who have emotional or developmental delays. If this
